Priority Seating and Season Tickets
Acquiring new season tickets, adding additional season tickets and/or upgrading existing season tickets are each addressed through a combined effort of the Sooner Club and the OU Athletics Ticket Office.
Every ticket request -- for both football and basketball -- is ranked in priority point order within each annual giving level and reviewed one request at a time. Because season ticket renewal rates are typically very high (better than 99 percent for football, for example), acquiring seats or upgrading seats can present a challenge.
Despite the high demand and low supply, each request is reviewed in the same manner. You must make your additional ticket and/or upgrade request in writing -- either by writing the specifics directly on your Sooner Club or season ticket application, by attaching a letter to your application, making the request on your online renewal application, or via email.

Any move or upgrade of your tickets will potentially create a new donor component. For example, an upgraded “public" season ticket will now have a minimum per seat donor component assigned. This donation will be required annually to maintain the season ticket location.
Once the regular season ticket renewal deadline has passed, all non-renewed tickets are placed in inventory and made available for distribution. Requests for new tickets and/or upgrades are addressed, and if a new ticket location is successfully secured, your new tickets will be mailed with all other season tickets.
Due to the high number of upgrade and/or new season ticket requests received each year, donors are encouraged to be as specific as possible in making these requests. Preferences, including sections, row height, etc., are helpful in determining the best available seat locations. Please note that these are just requests.

Because all ticket requests are ranked and reviewed in priority point order within annual giving level, making a donation to the Sooner Club remains the best way to acquire or improve season tickets. Donations to the Sooner Club are non-refundable as your gift provides charitable support for OU's student-athletes.
While your gift increases your opportunity to acquire tickets, it is not an implicit guarantee of tickets or ticket locations. If you have questions regarding specific seating locations, please contact the Sooner Club.
OU/Texas Tickets Arguably the greatest rivalry in college football, the annual Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas has become the hottest ticket on the Sooners' schedule each year. Every season ticket holder will be reseated in the Cotton Bowl for the 2013 OU vs. Texas game. Donors will be seated according to annual giving level with the Sooner Club and then by priority points within those giving levels, a process that rewards our donors and season ticket holders for their loyalty to OU.
Due to the high demand for OU/Texas tickets, the procedures outlined below have been put in place to most equitably determine the qualification for, and allocation of seats for this event. If you have any additional questions about OU/Texas tickets, or how your Sooner Club membership affects qualification, seating location, etc., please contact the Sooner Club at (866) Sooner Club.
Who qualifies for OU/Texas tickets?
Some OU football season ticket holders acquire matching OU/Texas tickets because of their priority seat location inside Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The majority of Sooner Club members receive tickets based on their annual giving level within the Sooner Club and the number of season tickets in their account. The number of OU/Texas tickets a donor will qualify for, regardless of annual giving level, will not exceed the number of season tickets they have in their account.
As a result of the overwhelming demand for tickets to the annual Red River Rivalry, a priority point cutoff has been put in place to determine qualification for OU/Texas tickets. All season ticket holders with priority point totals above the cutoff are offered the opportunity to purchase the maximum number of OU/Texas tickets allowed at their giving level (see chart below) based on their number of season tickets.
Last year, the point cutoff was 48, meaning all season ticket holders with 48 or more priority points were offered OU/Texas tickets. As more fans join the Sooner Club and priority points continue to accumulate, the point cutoff will generally rise between 3-10 points each year.

*The total number of OU/Texas tickets any member may receive is limited to the number of season tickets in their account. For instance, a Golden Sooner Circle member with four (4) season tickets would only qualify for four (4) OU/Texas tickets. A Golden Sooner Circle member with 12 season tickets would only qualify for 10 OU/Texas tickets.
Priority points will determine qualification for OU-Texas tickets for Sooner Club members at all remaining giving levels and season ticket holders with a maximum of four (4) tickets per account. Those qualifying accounts with less than four (4) season tickets will have the opportunity to purchase the same number of OU-Texas tickets as the number of season tickets in the account.
How are seating locations determined?
During the seating process, the first determination in the allocation of OU-Texas ticket location is Sooner Club annual giving level followed by priority points within each giving level. Bud Wilkinson Society members will be allocated seats first, followed by Golden Sooner Circle members (second), Silver Sooner Circle members (third) and Bronze Sooner Circle members (fourth). Coaches Sooner Circle, Crimson Sooner Circle and Century Sooner Circle members are categorized together and placed in priority point order.
To best utilize our limited inventory, large orders will be split, with no more than six (6) tickets allocated at the "priority" location and all other tickets allocated in a "secondary" location.
What is the best way to improve my location?
While the opportunity to purchase OU/Texas tickets is guaranteed by some seating locations, ticket assignment inside the Cotton Bowl is determined by the Priority Point System. OU/Texas ticket locations are determined by giving levels, annual Sooner Club contributions, and points within those levels. The quickest way to obtain improvement in your OU/Texas location is to increase your contribution to the next giving level.
The Priority Point System considers both annual and cumulative contributions to determine seat locations. This process will allocate seats based first on current year giving level, then priority points within those levels as follows:
Bud Wilkinson Society
Golden Sooner Circle
Silver Sooner Circle
Bronze Sooner Circle
Coaches, Crimson and Century Sooner Circle
Can I request specific seats?
Seating requests for this game are highly encouraged. Requests may be made in writing on the ticket application or may be mailed, e-mailed or faxed to the Athletics Ticket Office or Sooner Club. Listing your preferences in order is helpful. Please include specifics such as sections, rows or seat numbers.
Requests will be prioritized based on Sooner Club giving level and priority points within each giving level. Each request will be reviewed, regardless of donor giving level, and accommodated based on availability. For your Sooner Club contributions to count toward your priority points and annual giving level for the seating process, they must be made on or before March 31.
Postseason Games (Tournaments, Championships and Bowl Games)
The opportunity to purchase postseason tickets is also determined by the Priority Point System. From time to time, the Athletics Ticket Office will mail postseason ticket order forms.
After the demand for postseason contests has been determined, a distribution plan will be implemented based on priority points within annual giving levels.
The University of Oklahoma is committed to providing every opportunity possible for Sooner fans to attend postseason games. Every effort will be made to acquire tickets to make available to any Sooner fan who wants to attend. At times, however, supply to these contests is very limited and the Priority Point System must be utilized to determine how tickets will be allocated.
