OU Athletics and 1Oklahoma Expand Donor Benefits
$2 Million NIL Matching Challenge Announced
The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department, in conjunction with its exclusive name, image and likeness (NIL) partner 1Oklahoma, announced that contributions made to the NIL entity will earn Sooner Club priority points and count toward each donor’s Sooner Club membership level.
This milestone empowers OU Athletics to further enhance the student-athlete experience, streamline engagement with supporters and focus fundraising efforts on the highest priorities.
The launch of this landmark initiative — which comes weeks into the Sooners’ membership in the Southeastern Conference — features a matching challenge extended by an anonymous donor. Every contribution made to 1Oklahoma will be met dollar for dollar up to $2 million from now through Dec. 31, 2024.
Like philanthropic gifts to OU Athletics, contributions to 1Oklahoma will earn three Championship Points per $100. To learn more about Sooner Club priority points, click here. Membership benefits to be reflected upon contributions to 1Oklahoma include the following:
- Red River Rivalry Seat Selection Times
- Access to Home and Away Tickets for Sports
- Gameday Parking and Hospitality

Yes, contributions to 1Oklahoma will be factored into your total contributions for the 2025 Sooner Club membership year and could increase your membership to the next level.

Like philanthropic contributions to OU Athletics, contributions to 1Oklahoma will earn three Championship Points per $100. Championship Points will not be awarded for gifts directed to event support. Only contributions above and beyond direct event support will earn Championship Points. Sponsorship gifts for events are applicable.

Championship Points are utilized for membership benefits including seat selection times for the Red River Rivalry and seat locations for away games and postseason play. When receiving member benefits, members will be ranked by membership level first, then Championship Points within the level. These benefits are reallocated each year and may not be the same from year to year.

All credits for 1Oklahoma contributions will be added to Sooner Club accounts after the March 1 commitment deadline for the 2025 membership year. Points will be noted on the account prior to any membership benefit allocations.

Gifts dating back to the launch of 1Oklahoma (June 24, 2024) will earn Sooner Club membership credit. Those who donate to 1Oklahoma and are not yet considered Sooner Club members, will be recognized as such for the 2025 membership year.

No, contributions to 1Oklahoma are not receipted as tax-deductible gifts as it is not a 501(c)(3) organization.

Direct support of NIL should be made by contributing to 1Oklahoma. Gifts to the Sooner Club support a holistic student-athlete experience that can be customized to specific areas of interest including student-athlete experiences, facilities, and scholarships.

No, contributions to 1Oklahoma cannot replace any required per-seat donations due to NCAA policies. Contributions to 1Oklahoma are viewed above and beyond your required per-seat donations.
